Photo A Day Week 12

Day 75 - After
After winter comes spring.  Finally seeing the signs.

Day 76 - Hobby

Day 77- Text

Day 78 - Private
My journal holds my private thoughts, good and bad.

Day 80 - Hand-drawn
Some of Shylee's hand-drawn and hand-colored art work on my fridge.

Day 81 - Sun-flare

Day 82 - Leaves
The ivy that grows wild...everywhere.

It was a long week but a good one.  I'm adjusting to being an early bird instead of a night owl!  I might actually miss driving Michael in to work each morning when he's able to drive again.  Maybe!  I'm hoping to do some sewing this week.  I'm feeling the need to hear the hum of the sewing machine.
What are your plans this week?

Photo A Day Week 11

Whew, I'm finally caught up with the photos!  My headaches are gone and Michael is healing slowly but surely.  He's not able to drive, so I've been getting up early to take him to work.  It's been all kinds of interesting, because I. am. not. a. morning. person.

I saw a theme in this week's prompts, so all the photos are from the sewing room.

Day 68 - Make
My main making tool.

Day 69 - Floral
Pretty floral fabric

Day 70 - Happy Place
I know you've seen this too many times, but it makes me happy!

Day 71 - Details
I was taking close ups of the whole spool of twine when I noticed the frayed end.

Day 72 - Color

Day 73 - Favorite
My favorite fabric combo.  I'll be making pillows for the couch.

Day 74 - Small
Tiny mother of pearl buttons.

Are you having a good week?  I hope you are.  I'm enjoying the warm(er) weather.  Spring is almost here!!!

Photo A Day Week 10

I am so late with this post.  The week started off with a migraine that continually got worse before it got better.  Then we unexpectedly had Shylee for the weekend, which wasn't a problem, but Michael ended up at the emergency room on Sunday for almost six hours.  Taking photos wasn't exactly at the top of my list!  Michael is now seeing a chiropractor for torticollis.  His neck and shoulder muscles seized up, causing severe pain.  I had never heard of it until this week!

Day 61 - Part of me
I thought of many different things for this prompt, but I kept going back to Sean and Erin.  They are forever and always a part of me.  I went back through the archives for this one since I don't have a recent one of the two of them together.

Day 62 - Open
The pantry door doesn't latch completely closed and pops open more often than not.

Day 63 - Geometric
Shylee's step stool

Day 64 - Out the window
This is the view from the bedroom window.  And I really hope it's the last snow of the season!

Day 65 - Remedy
The same view the day after the snow.  The sun and blue skies were the remedy for the winter blues.

Day 66 - Sweet
I think a sleeping child is the sweetest thing.

Day 67 - Young
The red bud tree Erin gave me last year for Mother's Day.

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend and everyone is well.  We tend to take that wellness thing for granted sometimes.  I know I do anyway.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

In between the snow storms, we had a day of sleet and freezing rain.  It wasn't bad.  Just enough to keep everyone home and make everything look pretty for a while.  It was cold.  This has been the coldest winter.  Spring can't come soon enough!

I hope you have a fabulous (and warm) weekend!

Photo A Day Week 9

It's March.  That means it will be spring soon, right?  Gosh, I hope so!

Day 54 - Fix
This drawer is in a dresser in the guest room.  Michael tends to carry tools upstairs to fix something, and forgets to bring them back down.

Day 55 - 12:00
The sky at noon,

Day 56 - Reflection
I didn't even notice the reflection in the window until I uploaded the photo to the computer.  I was just trying to capture the sunset.

Day 57 - Grow
I don't have a green thumb, but I've had some luck in the past with African Violets.  I hope this one grows for a very long time.

Day 58 - Still life
I wish I knew more about photo styling.

Day 59 - Thank You
Thank you little cardinal for staying put long enough for me to take your picture.

Day 60 - Starts with R
They were so very good.

I've been following along with the photo a day challenge from Fat Mum Slim.  You can join up at any time if you would like to follow along.

Have a fabulous week!
