Wednesday Words of Wisdom

Is there something in your life, home, job, business, family, relationships, etc. that you don't like?  Do you intend to do something about it?  Or are you complaining, lamenting, dwelling or suffering in silence over it?

We moved to this area of Maryland almost six years ago.  I don't like it here for lots of reasons.  My husband and I went round and round last night (again) about moving back to where we were.  He's completely and toally against it and refuses to move.

So what's a girl to do?  The only solution would be for me to move back.  As tempting as it is at this moment, I know it's not really a solution.  While thinking about this and mindlessly surfing the internet, I came across this quote and realized what I have to do!

If you don't like something, change it.
If you can't change it, change your attitude.
~ Maya Angelou

I need an attitude adjustment!  Although I have tried to do this in the past, I realize I haven't tried hard enough.  It's time to let go of the old life and embrace a new life.  So easy to say and so hard to do!  I'm willing to try and that's the first step!

So what about you?  Will you change that 'something' in your life or will you change your attitude?

Wednesday's Words of Wisdom

Most people I know either have or are setting goals for the new year.  I wonder how many of them will reach those goals?  How many of them will forget about them and how many will decide they just can't do what it takes to reach them.  I've been guilty of both in the past.  I have also reached my goals and there's no greater satisfaction than knowing you made it!  Today's quote reminds me of the most necessary tool we need to reach our goals...the right attitude.  What a great reminder.

Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.   ~Thomas Jefferson

Have a marvelous Monday!
