White and Sparkly

I started some new projects this week and they are all white and sparkly!  This will be a lavender sachet made from a corner of a vintage hankie.

I also started making Christmas ornaments.  Originally, they were going in the shop, but I think they would make a nice thank you gift with orders.  Or I might just have to keep them for my tree!

The ornaments have been fun to work on.  I'm using cookie cutters for patterns and using wool felt that is so nice to work with.  And although I love the all white look, I'll have to make some with red and green just because!

What are you working on?

Have a fabulous Friday!

Handmade Happiness

The tree is finally up AND decorated!  This is the first year I decorated by myself and it wasn't nearly as much fun.  In fact, it was kind of depressing.  The upside was that I got to see each ornament and recall the memories that came with each one.  In particular, I realized just how many ornaments are handmade.  Ornaments that I bought at crafts fairs, ornaments that wonderful friends made for me, ornaments that came from ornament exchanges,  ornaments that the kids made and gave to me.  Each and every one with a story and a memory!

There are so many more but I don't want to put you on ornament overload!

What about you?  Do you have a favorite handmade ornament or decoration?

I hope you have a happy Wednesday!!!

Blogtoberfest ~ Day Four ~ Craft Show Finds

In this post I told you about the craft show we went to at Annmarie Gardens.  Today I'll show you the beautiful things we bought.  I can't resist Santa!  This is an oil painted ornament and the detail is amazing!

A year ago, we redid our bathroom and I haven't been able to find art work to go on the walls.  Everything I looked at was either too beachy or just the wrong color.  I didn't know what I wanted, but when I saw these tiles I knew they were perfect.  Michael hung them up side by side and an hour later one of them fell.  I'm still gluing the little pieces back together!

I fell in love with the tiles because I knew the colors were perfect!

A Little Bit of Christmas

Remember these ornaments from a few weeks ago?  They were one of the Friday's Fabulous Finds features.

Here they are today on my tree!

The more I looked at them, the more I couldn't resist them.  They are gorgeous!  Shylee loved them too and I don't have to worry about them breaking.  Go to SewnGreen and find lots more of these fun unbreakable ornaments in a variety of colors!

Something else to do with ornaments

Slowly but surely it's begining to look like Christmas!

I hope you're having a fabulous Friday!
