We move, live and love in curves. Arms, legs, and bodies curve to propel us into the life around us. Branches of trees curve to embrace the breeze. Letters curve and form words. Curves can keep things apart, hold things together or create a path. This week take a moment to focus on all the different kinds of curves that surround you every day.
I got excited when I read this week's prompt. I'm a curve girl! I've always preferred curves over straight lines and it shows all through my house. I chose to focus on this antique ink well my husband gave me many many years ago for my birthday. I'm so in love with the graceful curves!

what a beautiful piece! I love the old ink wells, and was thinking about pulling out my calligraphy pens for this week's challenge. Just ran out of time!

ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous ink well. I can see why you love it so much! What a great gift.
ReplyDeleteThe ink well is amazing and you have captured its lines so well. Makes you wonder what interesting stories started there.....
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous gift. I'm with you, give me curves all the way. Love the exagerated lines of this piece, so pretty you lucky girl you
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Yes, I prefer curves over straight lines. My flower beds are curved, I like cabrio legs on my furniture. My thoughts are easily pulled off the path....
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool piece. I'm sure it could tell some stories if it could talk
ReplyDeleteExquisite photography! Your ink well is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDo you use it? Do you have ink in the 'well' and a pen to dip... What a lovely piece.. I seem to have more straight lines in this house than curves... the floors are all hardwood and tiles so I guess I just follow the straight lines on the floor into the furniture!
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing curvy piece! Perfect for this week's prompt!
ReplyDeleteOh what a gorgeous inkwell. I can imagine the beautiful curved letters that must have been written by the original owner of this piece. Great photos.
