What is your favorite kind of potato chip?

I don't dare buy them since my son left the nest!  Mr. Memories doesn't eat them so I would eat the whole bag!

Do you make your bed everyday?

                                          

No I don't.  I did for years and one day decided, "what's the point"?!  Oh, I might pull all the covers up once in a while, and I make it when I change the sheets, but that's it!

 

How often do you go to the hair salon?

Every 6-8 weeks since I have highlights and a style that needs regular trims to look good!

What do you dip your french fries in?

 

Ketchup is my first choice but I will dip it in just about any sauce that is served with appetizer foods!  I also really like the gravy from Dairy Queen for dipping fries!

Do you shop with coupons?

Not too much any more.  Up until about 10 years ago I used them faithfully.  I should revisit that...I saved a great deal when I used them

What is your favorite dessert?
This is one of the hardest questions for me to answer because I love dessert!  Pies, cakes, puddings, cheesecake.....I really just love sweets in general!

What do you wear to bed?
Nowadays I wear an oversized sleeping tee shirt that says MOM on it!  In the winter I wear flannel pajamas!  Not very sexy or romantic but it's all about comfort now!!!

Do you get regular manicures/pedicures?
I used to get my nails done every couple of weeks and I had the prettiest acrylic nails.  I quit work and that was one of the first things that had to go.  I've never had a pedi because I have this thing about my feet being touched!

Did you play sports in high school?
No!  But I did enjoy volleyball, tennis and golf in gym class.

Do you have an iPod?
Yes.  It got lost in the move we made three years ago and I found it just a few weeks ago!  However, I haven't used it since I found it!  I'm still a cd and radio girl at heart!

For the past week and a half I've been enjoying the company of my daughter and sweet granddaughter!  I've let a lot of things go during that time including posting here and reading my favorite blogs.  I hope to get caught up this week to see what everyone has been up to!

Do you watch any soap operas?

 

I started watching General Hospital as a teenager and have watched it off and on ever since.  At one time I watched all the ABC soaps but GH is the one I keep coming back to!  I love that now I can watch it on soapnet at night or the next morning or even online!

 

What appliance is used the most in your house?

 

The blow dryer!  Since it's just Michael and I, I don't do laundry or run the dishwasher every day.  The coffee maker, microwave and  stove get used most days.  I think the blow dryer is the only appliance that's used every day.  Well, except for the fridge.  Does the fridge count?

Do you wear make-up every day?

Not any more!  I don't leave home without make-up on but when I know I'm not going anywhere I don't wear it. 

What is your worst pet-peeve? 

When people don't do what they say they will do!  What has happened to being a man or woman of your word?  I lose trust in people who don't follow through with what they say. 

 

What is your favorite lunch meat?

I don't eat it very often but when I do it's roast turkey.

What is you favorite holiday?

Christmas!!!  I love everything about it...the decorations, twinkling lights, the music, baking, shopping, wrapping, giving gifts that bring big smiles and hugs...

What color clothing do you wear the most?

Mostly pastels especially pink, blue and lavender.

What is your heritage?
German, Irish, Scottish

What is your middle name?
Annette.  My first name, Velma, is after my grandmother but I've always gone by Annette. 

What is your favorite cookie?

My chocolate chip pecan cookies are my absolute favorite but I am a cookie monster!  If cookies are around, I'll eat them!!

Meet Me On Monday

I was at a loss as to what to write about today and I remembered this meme form Never Growing Old.  So in case you wanted to know more about me, here you go!!

What one food could you eat every single day?

I enjoy so many different foods I can't imagine eating the same thing every day!  I might could eat soup every day if it was a different kind every couple of days. 

Do you wear glasses or contacts?

I've worn glasses since I was in fifth grade.  I've tried contacts over the years but I had so many problems with them I gave up on them. 

What kind of cell phone do you have?

I have a Droid Eris.  It's a love/hate relationship! 

What did you have for dinner last night?
Marinated boneless chicken breast cooked on the grill, baked sweet potato and roasted broccoli.  I would still want variety but I could eat anything cooked on the grill (charcoal) every day!

What is your favorite candy?

Godiva chocolates!  Especially the one that is a ball of hazelnut chocolate between two clam shells!   This is something that is a once in a while treat.  My go to chocolate is Hershey Kisses!  Now there's something I could eat every day!!  I just don't like dark chocolate!!
