I'm joining Sally at The Studio Sublime for the Focusing on Life 52 photos challenge. Each week Sally gives us a prompt and we post our photos on Saturday.
This week's prompt was, 'your word for the year'. I'm not one to make new year resolutions. In fact, in this post, I listed the things I won't be changing in the new year. But even as I wrote that post, I knew I would be working on some changes that are long overdue. In this post from last October, I talked about how my life has changed the last few years. I was desperately ready for my life to make an about face. So as 2012 came to a close I knew the new year would be focused on mind, body and soul.
I had not considered a word for the year. As I thought about the changes I want to make it became clear that this is what I'm seeking.
Transformation. A marked change usually for the better.
It's time. And I'm finally ready to face the challenges and obstacles to become the best version of me that I can be.
You can go here to see what word others have chosen. If you would like to join in (it's not too late, you can join any time) go here.

ReplyDelete* I emailed Sally and will be joining in with this challenge - I think it's a great one. I'm just trying to get my computer back to some sort of organization - so hopefully I'll be in next week. :-)
What a meaningful word. And your photo is equally amazing!! Love this!
ReplyDeleteLove the angle of your picture! "Transformation" is a great word to inspire. From the posts I have read so far, all the words lead back to "change" or "transform" - I am learning so much about others through this bloghop - and I also see myself in a new light as well as I read through and relate to all of the posts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful word! I hope it helps you this coming year! Love that picture angle - awesome!

ReplyDeleteTransformation is such a great word. It really sums up where you want to go with your life.
ReplyDeleteTwenty plus years ago I moved to where I am now because of my husband and did not know a soul. I worked and made "work friends", but it was not until I became involved in the the arts and crafts community that I began to feel like I belonged.
Great word and beautiful pics! Wishing you all the best in 2013!
ReplyDeleteGreat word for the new year! Best wishes as you face new challenges this year-I look forward to seeing your transformation as an artist and a person.
ReplyDeleteOh see you picked a great one! Easy to work with and CONQUER! I love this shot too as we still have dictionary's and I make the kids use them - half for torture half for practice - Google isn't half as fun as picking up a few new words!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great picture! I think that deep down we all long for transformation, for our lives to change for the better. I am glad that you are taking steps to make that a reality! I wish you joy in the journey this year! Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteI love that word!!! Good luck with all your endeavors this year. You can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteTransformation is a very powerful word, you have to be open and receptive and ready for the change to take place, then you have to greet it and embrace it and live with it. You can do all these things, I can't wait to see where the year takes you!
