Paying It Forward

Last year I signed up to participate in a pay it forward art making project with Kathy from Kluless. Kathy made me this beautiful journal and I made her this dish towel.  I knew she liked color, birds, old lace and buttons, so I went through my stash and found what I hoped would work together.  I took more photos of the details but they turned out too blurry.  It was a fun project.  I sure hope Kathy enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it.  Have a great Wednesday!

From The Sewing Room

Before Christmas, I showed you some fabric I was going to use to make gifts.  Now that everyone has their gift I'm excited to show you what I created.

I took plain, solid color dish towels and prettied them up a bit using coordinating fabric and rick rack.

They were so simple to make and took less than an hour from start to finish for a pair.  Just the kind of project to give you that instant gratification that's sometimes needed.  It kind of makes me wish I still had my Etsy shop open.  Only kind of though!

Are you working on any new projects?
