Keyword: Change

The holidays with all their busyness are over and now it's time to settle into winter and back into a routine.  The beginning of a new year always brings thoughts of setting goals, making resolutions, making this year better than last year.

I started thinking about this several weeks ago when I realized just how ordinary and mundane my life has become.  Don't worry.  I'm not going to dwell on my unhappiness or bore you with details.   But I will tell you that my keyword for 2011 is 'change'.

Many changes  need to be made to bring me back to a happy place!  Changes in my lifestyle, my attitudes, my home, my workspace and my relationships are going to be my focus this year.  Changes that can only be made by me.  Changes that are necessary to my health and well being.  I've known for a long time that these changes need to be made but I wasn't ready.  I am now!

Will you be making any changes for the new year?

  6. Some wise soul once said you can't expect change in the world if you aren't willing to change yourself. Sometimes all it takes is changing how you look at things. Bravo to you for setting a course for yourself and good luck. I will be cheering you on!

  11. Good luck! Change is scary but once you start the ball rolling, it's so worth it. And you're so right that you have to be ready for it. Kudos to you for being ready. Truly, good luck.

Change in my life? Well, mundane has become my middle name, so I really think I need to follow your lead.

    Happy new year to you!

  13. I feel like I will be making lots of life changes this year. Most won't come until the summer, when I finally get my Masters Degree and switch from student world into working world. I'm looking forward to it.

  14. Wishing you well with your changes Annette. :)

I will also be working on some changes this year too :)

Primarily I have to work on my health but also where I want to live, so some big changes and some little ones like organising my time to be more productive in the ares I need to be.

Hope all is well, T. :)

  16. Well guess I'm to get changes if I want them or not. Went to follow your blog and instead of putting me down as AlmostPrecious (abeadersblog) blogspot had me down as Anna and no matter how hard I tried I could not find my avatar. So this is a big change for me.

I guess it's true about what they say; "Be careful of what you wish, for it may come true." Years ago I thought myself and my family were all so common, so ordinary that our lives were dull beyond compare. Then truths too hideous to believe surfaced like scum on a stagnant pond. My world turned upside down and life shook me like one shakes salt from a salt shaker. Now I'd give my eye teeth to be able to erase all the things that have happened, heal all the wounds, patch the broken hearts and just have everything return to bland, boring and oh so common once again. :(
