Thankful Thursday

Every Thursday I share what I'm thankful for.  Sometimes it's a serious or big thing, and sometimes it's a goofy or small thing.  I believe that no matter what is going on in our lives, there is always something to be thankful for.  Always.

Our granddaughter, Shylee, came to spend the weekend with us.  She was so excited to show me her camera t-shirt.   A few weeks ago, Michael took her to pick out some flower seeds so she would have her own flowers to take care of when she comes to visit.  She was eager to help and take care of the seedlings.   I'm so thankful for any amount of time I can spend with her.  She turned five this month and I can't believe the time has gone by so fast.  I'm thankful she enjoys and even asks to come stay with us.

I'm also thankful for:
     *  a husband who leaves work to rescue me from a salamander in the house
     *  the spring breeze through open windows
     *  silly knock knock jokes that make me and Erin laugh til we cry
     *  getting everything I need at one grocery store

What are you thankful for today?

Have a wonderful Thursday!

  1. What a doll...I just love her curls! That's so wonderful that she loves coming to spend time with Grandma :)

    Yikes on the salamander though!

  2. How fun!! I remember gardening with my grandparents when I was little. Great memories!

    This week...
Gosh, it's been a tough week at work, just one of those weeks. Cranky kids at school, a dog who got locked in the bathroom at home and did his business - not fun to come home too!! So yesterday when my husband said he was taking me out for dinner - what a perfect Wednesday evening it was! Little treats that make all the yuk go away. :-)

  3. OMGosh, how adorable and responsible :)

So much to be grateful for this week but being able to celebrate my 30th Anni with my Hubby was the best :)

    Have a lovely day, cheers, T. :)

  4. Shylee is such a cutie! I am thankful for a warm house on a cold day, the end of tax season, and a return to "normalcy" (whatever that is).

  5. Your granddaughter is so cute! What a great idea to plant seeds and watch them grow. I'm sure she will love it when they start to bloom.
