We're continuing the 'cabin fever' theme and this week Sally says, "the world begins to emerge from it's wintry blanket quietly, calmly. Subtle cues emerge with very little notice. For this week's photo assignment we will focus on the quiet calm of the world re-energized around us."
I'm so glad the snow is gone, the rain has stopped, the sun is shining, and we missed the ice that so many others were hit with. In fact, today is beautiful and made walking around the yard very pleasant. And thanks to Sally, I probably wouldn't have gone out to look for those subtle cues that are emerging. Cues such as the leaves of spring flowers poking through the ground, and the beginning of cherry blossom buds.
I'm truly enjoying today. The wintry mix returns tomorrow, reminding us that it's not quite spring yet!

Ahhh, real signs of Spring... gorgeous photos :)
ReplyDeleteHi Annette!
ReplyDeleteThe photos are wonderful and make me long for spring even more! We have been spared the snow this winter, but got sleet instead. I was lucky it was dry on the day I photographed my costume:)
Happy Weekend!
Really like the picture of the cherry blossom bud. A true sign of spring, I hope.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your signs of spring with us, I was not quick enough to capture ours before they disappeared.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Annette. I would welcome the first tender shoots poking up and buds on the trees but it will be a while yet before they are here.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for my yard to look like that! C'mon Spring!
ReplyDeleteI saw a few daffodils poking up their heads before this winter wonderland arrived to cover them up. Daffys are hardy souls, though, and I know they are just waiting to peek back through.
ReplyDeleteI love those first signs of spring, great pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love the signs of Spring you've chosen - the shot of the bud is beautiful.
ReplyDelete*le sigh* Color me jealous of those bulbs poking through as I anxiousy await to see signs of spring in New England!!! Great shots - perfect for this week's assignment. Seeing a tree come to life again is always one of my favorite parts about spring!
ReplyDeleteI love the first signs of spring! I'm getting a bit of cabin fever and am really looking forward to signs of them here.
ReplyDeleteOh lovely! A touch of green pushing up little fingers to test the weather and buds promising new life. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJust seeing the new green poke thru give you hope Spring is near.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are perfect examples of Spring's promise. Hopefully Mother Nature will be kind and not send another wintry blast of snow and ice.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! You enjoy those Spring like days, I really can't wait till we get some nice day in Chicagoland.
