Thankful Thursday

As some of you know, I was working on a One Thousand Gifts list before I took a break from blogging.  I went back and forth about continuing it here on the blog, because it became very personal.  Although I have gotten personal here in this space, I decided there are some things that I'm not ready to share with the whole world.  I continue to keep my personal list going, but will start up Thankful Thursday again.

This week I'm thankful for:
~ the ability to help my children when they need it
     ~ GPS on road trips
~ real handwritten snail mail letters from a friend
~ supportive friends even if they don't understand
~ a cold rainy morning, a cup of tea, a warm sweater, and Shylee singing softly while building Lego masterpieces
~ being able to do more physically
~ watching movies all day while it snows
~ all my blog friends and their warm welcome back

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Being all snuggled up on the couch watching movies all day sounds pretty great :)
Today I'm thankful for leftovers. It's always a good day when I don't have to cook lunch...lol :)

  2. Hi A. :)

I totally get the too personal thing, I wonder sometimes about what I write, to start with I kept things very neutral but I guess as I connected with more Blogger Buddies I think I might have gotten a little too comfortable, unfortunately we have no clue who is out there reading our words, well I know we can see the clicks but who are they????

Isn't it wonderful to get a hand written letter in the mail, I feel it is slowly becoming a lost art, I was a big, big letter writer but now only a handful of my friends still write in snail mail form and card sending also is becoming a thing of the past, oh well, I guess we have to accept the new things, but it doesn't make me happy :(

No I'm sounding just plain old and grumpy, lol :)

Hope you are having a wonderful Thursday, Cheers, T. :)

  4. I have a few posts that are really personal, but I find that readers don't really remember that stuff anyway ;-)
Those are wonderful things to be thankful for. I can just imagine Shylee singing while playing with Lego...
