I am SO envious of you folks who live where there are wild turtles. I even read one blog where the turtles come right up on the patio to beg and eat catfood. How fun! Well, a LOT more fun than the oppossums that come up on our patio to steal the catfood!!
Wonderful photo ! Your yearly visitor is quite a colorful one, even its little head is decorated. It doesn't seem to be camera shy as it almost appears to be poising for you. Wonder if it's a Miss or a Mr. Turtle?
