Every Thursday I share something I'm thankful for. It's so easy in our day to day routines and problems to forget we have things to be thankful for.
As the temperature and the heat index reach into the triple digits, I'm thankful for air conditioning! But I'm even more thankful for the men and women who are serving in regions where the temperature reaches as high as 130 degrees. I can't imagine how difficult that is to cope with on top of everything else.

So the next time you are tempted to complain about the heat while sitting in an air conditioned room, remember our troops and all they endure for us!
What are you thankful for today?
So very true. I have a good friend I talk to regularly in Afghanistan, so I always try to avoid complaining about the heat!

So right, we have so much to be Thankful for! I too am thankful for just everyday comforting routines! For religious freedoms in out country. And for an ever flowing food basket too. Im so thankful to God for all of this!
ReplyDeleteAmen - God Bless everyone of them! XOXO
ReplyDeleteI am gratefull we have those young men and women who feel called to protect freedom and are willing to endure so much!
ReplyDeleteThat definitely keeps it all in perspective, thanks for sharing :) T.
ReplyDeleteSo true!! It is so easy to forget. I was reminded yesterday after reading a blog about loss, just how precious family can be. I think some of us moms with kids home all summer tend to get a bit "cranky" at times but we need to remember just how precious each moment with them is.
ReplyDeleteNice post!!
