Thankful Thursday

Every Thursday I share what I'm thankful for.  Sometimes it's a serious or big thing, and sometimes it's a goofy or small thing.  I believe that no matter what is going on in our lives, there is always something to be thankful for.  Always.

Do you think I'm crazy to be thankful for a dandelion?  It's not that I'm thankful for the weed so much as I'm thankful for some color in the yard.  This has been the coldest, grayest winter we've had in a while.  We haven't had any snow except for dustings here and there, but the temperatures have been colder than normal and the sun has been on an extended vacation.  So I'm thankful for color anywhere I can find it!

I'm also thankful for
     *  longer days
     *  a Cpap mask that works and a good night's sleep
     *  a little chocolate Hershey kiss
     *  a hot shower
     *  being able to look up anything on the internet

What are you thankful for today?

Have a wonderful Thursday!

  2. Very pretty "pop" of color!

    This week...
    A shortened work week due to a long weekend (which was also fabulous)
    A planned outing with a friend this coming weekend.
    Our heater this week - it's been super chilly in So Cal and we've had to have it on quite a bit!

  3. I like dandelions too. Some people hate them, but I like that they add color to our yard :)

  4. No, it is not crazy, it is AWESOME that you take the time to be grateful for them!
    I am grateful for old fashioned flannel PJs that feel like a warm hug when you are under the weather.

  5. I've always thought dandelions were too pretty to be weeds, but peer pressure gets the best of me, so I dutifully dig them each summer.

    I'm thankful for a Snow Day (without the huge accumulation of snow that was forecast), pretty flowers, a warm house, and pretty fabric.

  6. Dandelions are such bright and happy looking little flowers, even their name seems uplifting. As a child I used to love plucking them when they had gone to seed and were lovely globes of fluff. I would close my eyes, make a wish and then blown the downy bits of fluff into the air. I'm sure gardeners everywhere must cringe at that thought.
