We are half way through the year, and this week's prompt was to focus on whatever we wanted to!
I know this doesn't look very exciting, but to me it's like Christmas! I'm working on a sewing room redo, and I can finally start working on the organizing and decorating. The cabinets with glass doors are new and will hold my fabric. I'll finally be able to see what I have! There's lots of storage space in the other cabinets and there's even more that you can't see right now. I want to have everything done so I can participate in this year's, "Where Bloggers Create 2013". I also want to start sewing again. I have a long list of projects to work on!

Oh I'm happy for you! Look at that fresh palette, can't wait to see it all full of colour. You know I think the "Where bloggers create" was the first blog hop I ever stumbled across long before a blog of my own. Must make sure to note the date!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. I finally got my new bookshelves under my countertop and it's like heaven!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
Your sewing studio is going to be fantastic - just look at all of that great space!! Looking forward to seeing how it progresses. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a fantastic feeling getting your work space organised isn't it! I love your glass fronted cabinets - they are a great idea - most of my stuff is hidden in the bottom of boxes and gets 'found' whenever I have a clear out!
ReplyDeleteNow that is exciting! I love those cabinets! Mine isn't done yet either...hopefully by the end of summer :)
ReplyDeleteNew space!! How exciting - the potential, the creativity - love that. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI'd be excited too, nothing like a great creative work space.
ReplyDeleteAnnette, I love those new cabinets - what a perfect way to store and protect your fabric stash and yet be able to view it and enjoy all the wonderful colors and patterns of the fabrics that captured your heart at the fabric shops.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your room all put together, I know it will be a great space that you'll enjoy working in and one that will inspire your creativity at the same time.
Have a lovely week-end. :)
This is exciting! Speaking for myself with only a dining room table to make jewelry, I would be thrilled to have a room to spread out.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have great storage, and it is all quite visible and within an arms reach.
So exciting!! I have to admit, I'm just a wee bit jealous. :D I lost my beloved sewing room last year to teens who finally wanted their own rooms, but I know one day I'll have it back again. Love your glass door cabinets!! What a fab way to see everything, so much easier than digging for it.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the final reveal!!
Oh Annette, I know you have waited a long time for this and now you are to the best part. Love those cabinets with the glass doors. Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about us women that LOVE the excitement of organizing and creating something new? Men will NEVER understand, but that's OK. We do, have a blast!
ReplyDeleteRedoing a creative space is so cool. It would be like Christmas for me too. Thanx for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, Annetter - I love those cabinets w/the glass doors, too - those are super! happy organizing!!
ReplyDeleteI love those glass cabinets! Storage is so important and there never seems to be enough of it. I find getting organized is also inspiring. All sorts of ideas jump to mind as you organize.
ReplyDeleteLove the glass door cabinets. How much it will be for you to be able to see all your fabric.
ReplyDeleteOh what fun!! To have enough storage to keep things neat is a blessing. You'll be so productive.
ReplyDeleteYou can see my workspace at the top of my blog

I just wish I could figure out how to get my jewellery and beading supplies organized... every time I take one step forward I seem to fall back 3! I think your going to love your sewing space... my sewing machine spent 3 years behind my computer monitor it just recenlty got liberated so can be used easily if I have the urge! Happy sewing!
ReplyDeleteOh, I could fill those shelves so quickly! have fun organizing.
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Annette, I'm doing much the same thing...but setting mine up for beading/jewelry. I think you and I have some of the same furniture :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your redo!
Oh what a nice looking sewing and creative space.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Love those cabinets with the glass doors. I love being able to see my fabrics--the colors are cheery and inspiring.

ReplyDeleteVERY exciting! Love those glass door cabinets! You can see everything and keep the dust off! Are they IKEA?
ReplyDeleteOh, come on, Annette, this is a group of creative women, organization and a new art room is overly-exciting for us! Yours look terrific: best of luck with everything on your wish list :)
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE the glass fronted cabinets, what an awesome idea :) My fabrics are all in drawers or tubs, organised (to some extent) but I still have to go thru piles of fabric to see what is there :(
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for your big reveal and I am sure you are very excited to get back to sewing :)
Hope you are having a great Sunday, cheers, T. :)
