This week Sally says to change our photo taking perspective and look up.
We were walking along the boardwalk in Solomon's and I was watching the seagulls hoping to get a good shot when I spotted this bird. I thought it was a hawk until it started hovering and I realized it was an osprey. I'm so used to seeing seagulls that I wonder how many times I've missed seeing an osprey because I don't usually look up. It was fascinating to watch.

Oh what a fabulous photo! And such a treat to see one in the wild - they're gorgeous birds!!
ReplyDeleteA lovely photo. It looks so serene.
ReplyDeleteLucky you.
I am seriously droooooooling over this photo. Absolutely beautiful, I half expected to see an inspirational quote or poem on on here!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing photo!! That should be on a card in the Hallmark store! Lovely capture!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone. Yours is an amazing shot. And I am very impressed with your bird knowledge. I could have guessed for a million years before naming an osprey. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnnette, that photo is gorgeous. I hope you don't mind that I just pinned it! I did not know that osprey could hover and would not have realized what it was. You taught me something today.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great shot!
ReplyDeleteThe bird, the clouds, the rays of sun...just perfect!
A truly wonderful shot. I love to identify birds that I am lucky enough to capture with my camera!
ReplyDeleteGreat bird shot... most of our birds are seagulls, crows or jays.... The screaming going on at this time of year when the babies are learning how to fly is horrendous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful picture!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Picture, Beautiful Light, great capture of a raptor, lol :) T.
ReplyDeleteIt's a perfect picture Annette, and ospreys are truly magnificent birds. We have them everywhere on the West coast of Florida, the first time I spotted one I mistook it for an eagle.
