Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday, friends!  Every Thursday I share what I'm thankful for.  Sometimes it's a serious or big thing and sometimes it's a goofy or small thing.  I believe that no matter what is going on in our lives there is always something to be thankful for.  Always.

I went to the MVA yesterday to renew my driver's license since it was going to expire tomorrow on my birthday.  The notice came in the mail three months ago and I've been putting it off all this time.  Going to the MVA has never been a pleasant experience.  The lines are long, the people working there seem angry and ready to fight, and the wait could take hours.  Yesterday, however, was different.  I'm thankful that I was in and out of there, with a new driver's license, in a record fifteen minutes!!  Really, it made my day!

I'm also thankful for:
     *  a knee massage from the physical therapist
     *  online shopping
     *  sunshine
     *  a "no charge" repair on Michael's Jeep
     *  the recliner that I have practically lived in for the past 5 months

What are you thankful for today?

  1. A VERY HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY my Dear, for tomorrow, hope it is a wonderful day!!!!

    I LOVE your new photo, you are going to have to open a photography shop on Etsy now :)

    I am with you on the DMV, but I was pleasantly surprised last time too! :) (although I did have to wait a little longer than 15 mins, LOL!! :)

    Take Care and have a lovely Mothers Day too! :)

    Cheers, T. :)

  2. Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a lovely day. It's my son's birthday today - my baby is 14!! Crazy how time flies.

    I'm with you on the DMV - icky, icky place. I avoid going there at all costs!!

    Have a lovely weekend and Mother's Day!

    This week, I'm actually thankful that my work week is over - no work tomorrow! It was a tough week at school with cranky, sick kids - never fun! So tomorrow, a day of rejuventating. :-)

  3. Happy Birthday, Annette! I think that trip through the DMV is a new world's record worthy of Guiness!!
    Love, love the B&W macro shot. B&W is my favorite and this one is beuatiful. Do you frame any of these gorgeous pictures you take?

  4. Happy Birthday! And 15 minutes is such a huge record! I'm thankful for online shopping too - just bought some washi tape yesterday ;)

  5. Wow 15 minutes to get a new licence is a great birthday presents. Annette, I hope your knee feels better soon and that you had a wonderful birthday!
