Dear Friends,
I can't believe the weekend went by so fast. Did you have a good one? I spent some time in the sewing room, but I'll tell you more about that tomorrow!
When we moved Sean to Denver last month, I was really looking forward to seeing the mountains and doing some sightseeing. He talked about the mountain view after each of his visits there, so I was disappointed that it was hazy while we were there and we couldn't see the mountains at all. We had only one day to go sightseeing because of the mishaps on the drive there {you can read about those here} and Marie suggested we go to Idaho Falls, an old gold mining town in the mountains.
We headed west and it wasn't long at all before we could see what I longed to see.
I love the mountains. I love the ocean too, but if I could choose where to spend the rest of my life, I would choose the mountains. I have to admit that I'm just a little bit jealous that Sean gets to live at the base of the Rocky Mountains and have that experience! Guess I'll have to visit often!

Which do you prefer, the mountains or the ocean?
Have a great day,
Lovely shots!
ReplyDeleteI love both, so hard to choose. Living where we do, thankfully we get to experience both in fairly close proximity.
My weekend went too fast! Can't believe it's Monday again. It was good, though we didn't quite get all the "honey do" things crossed off, but we made an attempt at least!
The ocean is lovely and I could sit for hours watching the surf crash upon the shore (in California ... the only time Florida has a surf is when there's a tropical storm off shore)however I truly adore the mountains. It is hard to beat a mountain top view, looking down into a lovely valley.
ReplyDeleteI'm spoiled because I was used to the ocean AND the mountains in Hawaii. I'd give anything to be near to either one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely collection of photos! My sister and I went to Colorado in June and it was amazingly beautiful. I love the mountains and the ocean, but I think I would prefer to live in the mountains. I hope you get to CO often!

I would hate to have to choose but I also know that, if I had to, I would pick mountains. When I have traveled through the midwest where there are vast open spaces it feels a little un-nerving to me. I always get a huge sense of relieve when I am back in sight of the mountains. BTW, I live 5 years of my childhood in American Falls Idaho, not too awfully far from Idaho Falls.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Photos :)
ReplyDeleteI love the mountains from a distance, it is always too cold for me to go up them, LOL!!!:)
I am an ocean girl, maybe because I am a Pisces or just that a grew up on an Island, Britain, (He! He!)
Have a lovely week, cheers, T. :)
