Fairies, Gnomes, and Family

This past weekend was one I had been looking forward to for quite some time.  My son came from Denver, my sister was here and of course my daughter and granddaughter all came to celebrate Mother's day and my birthday which fell on the same day this year.  It was the first time both kids were here at the same time in almost two years!

We spent a day at AnnMarie Sculpture Garden and Arts Center where they were having their 5th annual Fairies in the Garden.  It was so much fun to see all the fairy houses, gnome homes, birdhouses, and sculptures.  They even had dress up clothes for the kids.  Shylee chose a tutu skirt, purple fairy wings and a crown.  The weather was perfect.  Not too hot, not too cool, just the right about of sun and clouds and no humidity.  My only complaint about the weekend is that it ended way too soon!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. Annette , that looks like so much fun! I am a fan of fairies for a long time. I'm so glad you had a load of fun.

  2. Oh what great photos - sounds like a super fun time. I love Shylee's outfit - I would have chosen something very similar, if the adults would have been allowed to dress-up, too, that is! :-)

  3. Oh A. I LOVE the photos - what a wonderful time to have your "Babies" with you on Mother's day and your B.Day :)

That just looks like such a perfect place to go and play, I'd LOVE to go there :)

So happy you were surrounded by your loved ones on your double special day :)

    Cheers, T. :)

  4. This looks like the cutest exhibit! Shylee is adorable in her tutu. I'm sure she loved seeing the fairy houses and other goodies!

  5. What a delightful and inspiring place and LOVE the photo of Shylee in front of the castle!

  6. Glad to hear that you had a very special and happy Mother's Day.

The Fairies In The Garden looks like a wonderful and whimsical place, I'm certain that little Shylee had a lot of fun playing "make believe" there. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment.
