Good-Bye 2011

This year seemed to fly by, but at the same time it seemed to be awfully long!
It was a good year.  I got to go to Charleston, South Carolina and see and old friend.
My sisters came to visit and my son-in-law came home safely from Iraq.
It was a good year, but I'm ready to move on to 2012!
I want to leave you with a few of my favorite projects from the year
and some of my favorite photos I took.

We are not partyers on New Year's Eve.  We will eat some snacks, drink some champagne, watch a movie, and probably be in bed before midnight!  Yes, we really live it up around here!

How will you be celebrating tonight?

  4. Love the "be yourself" piece...so pretty.
Happy New Year, we will be doing the same, except will try to stay awake for midnight, in Louisiana fireworks are HUGE...and every house hold in our neighborhood is "celebrating" and my chihuahua is terrified...so I no doubt will be calming her...lol.

  5. Love the pictures!! Great post idea!

We are not the partying types either. It's not a night I like to be out on the roads. :-( I've got a whole menu of fun appetizers planned...did most of the prep yesterday already and we'll mix a champagne cocktail up and probably be in bed before 10!! Quite the party animals we are! Lol!

    Happy New Year!!

I too agree...it's been a really good year, but somehow I feel ready for the next one! :-)

  6. Love, Love the photos what a wonderful way to remember 2011! :)

I'm a night owl so regardless of what day (or night) of the year it is I'll be awake at Midnight, partying, not so much and I do not like champers :(

2 of my "kids" went off to party in San Fran and the other one who stayed home really isn't interested in partying, so we most probably will be playing games and watching movies too! :)

Happy New Year my dear, :) T.

  8. I am ready to say goodbye to 2011 and look forward to 2012, too! I am determined to make this new year a slower, gentler, kinder one. We are getting KFC take-out to take in and I am VERY certain we will be sound asleep before the fireworks start!

  9. Happy New Year! You do such exquisite work; all the beautiful details. I'm glad I found your blog. And I see I'm in good company! We celebrated with a late dinner in, a funny movie and ice cream, then turned on the TV just in time for the big count-down. We rang in the new year with hugs, kisses and raspberry lemonade. Cheers! :)
