Thankful Thursday

Hello Friends!  Every Thursday I share what I'm thankful for.  Sometimes it's a serious or big thing, and sometimes it's a goofy or small thing.  I believe that no matter what is going on in our lives, there is always something to be thankful for.  Always.
Today I'm thankful for the time spent with my family last weekend.  This is the last time we will all be together for a long while and I realized I didn't have any pictures of all of us.  So I'm also thankful I figured out the self timer on the camera!  I don't know what it was about the flashing light and beeping that cracked us up so much, but we laughed hysterically waiting 10 seconds for the picture to take.

I'm also thankful for
     *  freedom of speech
     *  being able to sleep in after watching the Olympics til the wee hours
     *  being the Grandma of a 4 year old and not the Mama
     *  on line bill paying

What are you thankful for today?

  4. Great pic! Aren't pics just the best. My teen boys are now going through the stage that it's funny to pull faces and never be serious in photos - good luck to me on getting a nice Christmas card photo this year!!

    This week I'm thankful for a lovely few days away with my husband and boys - we had a great time. We got home last night and I was very thankful for my own bed!! :-)

  5. That is a wonderful family photo :)

    I'm with Meeling, my sons goof around all the time while I am taking photos so it is challenging to find good ones, that they approve (of course) for our Xmas letter.

    I am thankful that our family gets to go out for dinner and a blues club tonight, might be the last time before Xmas we are all together.

    Have a lovely day, cheers, T. :)

  6. What a fun photo! I know what you mean about thankful for being the grandma, and not the mama, at this age!!

    I'm thankful for a nice email from my daughter, air conditioning (it's still crazy hot in NE), and grandkids.

  7. Great photo! Last time I used the timer on my camera, we all got to giggling, too. Funny. I wonder why that is.

    Today I'm thankful my oldest daughter keeps plugging along. It's hard to be nearly 30 and STILL not have found a decent partner. Breaks my heart...but she cries then pulls herself right back up again. I'm thankful her heart heals itself after each time it's smashed.

  8. What a great picture! I'm glad you got to have that time together. The older they get, the harder it is to get everyone in the same place at the same time and a treat when it happens.

  9. It's a lovely family photo and it is true that most of us never take nearly enough of them.

    I so totally understand the thankfulness of having grandchildren but not having to be the mama. That is such a hard job and in today's world it is getting even harder . . . too many things to protect the little ones from.

    Hope you have a wonderful weekend. TGIF. :)
