I've never been one to brave the lines and crowds on Black Friday. As crazy as it has become in recent years, I'd rather not risk life and limb just to get a few extra dollars off a purchase. I know some people plan the day out in advance and know just where they are going and at what time they will be there. Not me!
Instead, I will rest up today and plan my shopping for Saturday. I have a list of small local businesses I will visit and hopefully find some gifts for giving or something I can't live without. I will also be shopping on Etsy in support of handmade. If you have time, why not support a small business this Saturday. It will make someone's day!

I do most of my shopping online at Etsy and Dawanda. I really don't like shopping in malls. It's too noisy for me!

ReplyDeleteI'm all for the small business support though. We own a business so when we shop we always try to support our little local "mom & pops" if we can. Etsy is great and of course if I can make it myself - even better!!

I've never been a Black Friday shopper. Suppose I just like to take one holiday at a time and savor it to the max before getting into the next holiday. Sort of like a box of chocolates - I take one luscious bon-bon at a time, nibble it slowly, delight in its rich chocolate flavor and then when it is gone and the flavor has vanished from my palate, then - and only then - do I move on to yet another decadent chocolate truffle. :D
