Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for beautiful blue skies today.  The gray, wet, windy skies of the last few days are gone and that's fine with me!  As I see pictures of the devastation of Sandy, I'm more and more thankful that we came through the storm as well as we did.  We have a home, we have power, we have food and water.  There is much to be grateful for.

I'm also thankful for
     *  first responders
     *  distractions
     *  friends and family who pray
     *  phone conversations with Shylee

What are you thankful for today?

Keep smiling!

  1. We're having beautiful weather here today as well! I'm glad you're safe after Sandy. It's so hard to see all the devastation on the news!

    Today I'm thankful for a quiet day at home :)

  2. What a perfect blue sky photo!

    I'm thankful for cooler nights continuing, even if some of the days are starting to creep rather warm for November. And, well rather a sill thing to be thankful for, but My Little Green carpet machine this week...we had one of our dogs get sick not once, but three times!! Thank heavens for modern inventions!!

  4. Oh, I am thankful for my warm, cozy home, electricity, and gasoline, among many other things we take for granted until we watch the suffering in the aftermath of Sandy. My heart aches for them.

  5. Great photo and list. I'm thankful for so much, including not having to go through the terrifying events those out east have endured. Like you, I especially enjoy telephone conversations with my grandkiddo.

    Have a super weekend!

  6. Yes Sandy did make a mess of the northeastern states. I feel so sorry for all those who have lost their homes, or worse, due to Sandy's fury. I think Mother Nature is trying to tell us something. :(

    My daughter lives in NYC and I'm thankful that she is safe and well and that the storm was most kind to her area.
