Every Thursday I share what I'm thankful for. Sometimes it's a serious or big thing, and sometimes it's a goofy or small thing. I believe that no matter what is going on in our lives, there is always something to be thankful for. Always.
This past week, Michael and I celebrated our thirty fourth wedding anniversary. We drove two hours to eat breakfast at the Original Pancake House, shopped for a lamp, lingered at the bookstore and had dinner before going home. Maybe not the most romantic way to celebrate, but I'm just thankful we can celebrate! Thankful to have an anniversary. Thankful to be happily married.
I'm also thankful for
* spring like temperatures
* overnight UPS
* days that are productive
* old pictures full of memories

Happy Anniversary! Sounds like a perfect day. I love days like that with my husband - nothing special really, yet so full of memories and fun. When I think back on celebrations, it's the simple ones that always stand out in my memory.

Happy anniversary, Annette, and many more. It sounds like a lovely day together. It doesn't matter that it wasn't romantic. Just being together is what's important. Actually, now that I think about it, it was romantic! Just wanting to spend the day together IS romantic.

I am thankful for the prospect of a 3-day weekend in my future, people who help me with my new phone without making me feel dumb and discovering vanilla steamers.

John and I celebrated our 43rd anniversary this past Dec. (just 4 days before Christmas :D ).
