I've been doing Thankful Thursday for over 2 years and I'm thankful for all the positive feedback I've received from you during that time. I'm ready to change it up a bit. Well, more than a bit, actually.
I've been inspired and challenged by the book, One Thousand Gifts, by AnnVoskamp, to see, be thankful for, and chronicle the everyday gifts and blessings that are in our lives. I feel this just takes being thankful to a whole new level. I tend to be quite negative sometimes and this will help me stay more positive.
Instead of a weekly thankful post, I'll be including my numbered list at the end of each post. They may or may not have anything to do with the blog post they're on. I'm going all the way to one thousand but I'm not putting a time frame on it!
What are you thankful for today?
Have a fabulous day!

1. people who can inspire and challenge me
2. the new year and all the promise it holds
3. tinkling bells on the Christmas tree when Annie goes running past and brushes against it
4. seeing life through the eyes of a five year old
5. comforting traditions
That's a fantastic idea! It will be fun to see it grow. I'm with you totally on seeing things through the eyes of a five-year-old!
ReplyDeleteToday I'm thankful that this morning I found tickets to see my grandsons in February for $90 per person... ROUND TRIP! My husband and I will be going together, and we so look forward to it. I've not seen the boys since October and my husband hasn't seen them since October of 2012!
May 2014 be filled with blessings for you and yours, Annette!
It is a fabulous book....I have gifted it to many friends. Look forward to the counting of your gifts. x
ReplyDeleteI have always loved Thankful Thursday because you make me stop and pay attention. I love this idea and I'm looking forward to reading every single one!

It's a book that I will definitely place on my "must read" list. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. :)
ReplyDeleteToday is not Thursday for me but nonetheless I am most thankful for my dearest friend and life-long companion . . . my wonderful hubby, John. We recently celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary - next year will be a major one 45, then it will be only 5 short years away from our golden anniversary of 50. :)
Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis week...being off of school and having extra time to spend with my boys and my hubby. Oh and a hubby who puts up and helps with all my DIY projects! ;-)
