Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day ~ Author Unknown
The last couple of weeks, and especially the last few days, have been tough at our house. It started when my daughter's friend passed away in a motorcycle accident. We cancelled our trip to Arkansas to visit family because she wasn't up to it, so we planned a shorter trip to Savannah, GA and would have left yesterday but for some unexpected news...again.
It seems my daddy has bladder cancer. He will be having surgery next week to remove the tumors and determine what stage he's in. This news is still sinking in. In the meantime, my husband is having tests done on his neck and chest because of lumps there. The one on his neck is a fatty cyst and most likely benign. The lump in his chest is possibly the same thing but we won't know til next week.
Erin and I are leaving this morning for Williamsburg, VA for three days. It's much closer to home and although it will be much shorter than the last two trips planned, it will be good to get away for a little while and it will help the time go by faster!
I don't know why I'm telling you about all of this. I'm rambling and probably sharing too much information but I guess I want you to know why I haven't posted or left comments on your blogs. Please know that I'm still reading your posts and trying to keep up but you may or may not hear from me as often for a while!
Remember to look for something good every day.....I know I will!
I'm so sorry, that's a lot to deal with all at once. Take care of yourself; I pray that the lump on your husband's chest is nothing serious.
ReplyDeleteCyber prayers and hugs are being sent your way, Take care of your family and don't worry about us...we are bigs girls and will simply wait patiently for you to do what needs to be done and then return to us...;-) Enjoy Williamsburg...one of my favorite places in the world. Find a pretty tiny garden and just sit there for a while.
ReplyDeleteOh Annette Prayers and hugs your way. I hope you get to destress a bit ...If your were closer I'd bake you something : ) (((HUGS))) Patty
ReplyDeleteThis would be for my son. He works in the Local John Deere dealership as a mechanic apprentice, and is having a hard time with some of the other "men" who work there. They don't always have good days and he has trouble understanding that. He figures everyone should be happy to be working there and doing what they love.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the real world :)
I will say a prayer for both your Father and your Husband. Sometimes we need to share information and it's easier to talk to the "blogisphere" than to burden family or friends. Know that we out here in blogland care and are rooting for your family.
ReplyDeleteOh Annette - I wish I were there to just give you a big hug and tell you that we care. Janet is right, we are big girls and we can wait to hear from you - meanwhile you have many friends out here hoping and praying all is all right for you and those you love.

I'm sorry, Annette. You and your family are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteHey Annette, sorry to hear that these things are being sent to challenge you. Know that there are people sending positive energy your way, (it is so refreshing reading your followers comments) There is so much Love on the planet :)
ReplyDeleteI feel your distress, our family is going thru a few too many things right now too.
But remember the saying, "we are never sent more than we can handle" (para-phrasing :)
Be strong, Love T. :)
We are sending warm Hawaiian thoughts your way and wishing you and your family all the best!!
