The 365 Project

One of my intentions for the new year is to learn how to use my camera.  I found The 365 Project and it appealed to me right away.  They give you a theme for the week along with an educational post with a challenge.   You take pictures everyday and post one picture a day on their Facebook page.  I enjoyed it so much last week and want to share with you my week of photos.

The theme was Good-bye Holidays and the challenge from the post was to learn how to shoot a bokeh.

Day 1 bokeh

Day 2 reflection in the tv

Day 3 ornament

Day 4 trees in front of the tree

Day 5 the skating snowman

Day 6 the last of the holiday chocolate

Day 7 cookies

Whether you know how to use your camera or not, this is a fun way to get used to taking photos every day.  Maybe by the end of the year, I'll actually know what I'm doing!

What is your favorite subject to photograph?

  7. I love the trees in front of the tree. Great shots all.

Other than photographing my grandsons, I love macro anything. I should join the 365 project but my time is so unfortunately dedicated to trying to make a buck. But I'll be practicing with my camera...and watching you and your blog for ideas and inspiration!

  8. Thanks for the pointer to the project! I've been doing a personal 'picture a day' in my own FaceBook for over a year now, and it has really helped me develop my eye. I think I'll head on over and see what the topics are. Your works are very inspirational.

  9. Love your photos they are gorgeous. Had a few hiccups towards doing this project, but I really really want to do this at some stage. I won't be starting at Jan 1, but I figure that doesn't matter, I can always start somewhere. Lost the cord to my camera, so can't download photos. found that in the end ... this evening. Have had to write an essay for Uni and have had a horrid tooth which is coming out tomorrow. But I'm going to start either tomorrow or the next day. I love the idea of this project and the way it stretches your creativity.

  12. This project has always looked way too ambitious for me but it will be great if you manage to follow it through!

I like to photograph nature mostly, as you might have noticed :)
