I am loving my new camera. I graduated from my point and shoot to the Canon EOS Rebel XS a couple of months ago. At first I was disappointed because the pictures just weren't turning out like I wanted them to! I am a patient person, but at times I want what I want when I want it! In other words, I wanted to pick up this new camera and have the photos turn out looking like I knew what I was doing. I didn't want to learn how to use it! It didn't take long to realize I was going to have to pay closer attention to the instructions and practice. Thank goodness I had the point and shoot as a back up for the important, don't want to miss shots.
Thankfully, I'm more comfortable with it now and having fun playing with it.
Photography is something I've always been interest in and this camera is tickling my fancy!
I'm joining Yes, Teacher! for Tickle Me Tuesday
What's been tickling your fancy?
Very Cool camera Annette.
ReplyDeleteWhen I stepped up from my point and shot I was petrified to change any of the settings on my new camera. But slowly I gained confidence and now I love the different shots I can get by changing settings and it is second nature now. Have fun, I'm loving the photos you are taking.
Have a lovely Tuesday, T. :)
I had to learn to use our big bad camera too! It paid off in the end though :) Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteWOW - looks amazing - congrats on your new camera!
ReplyDeleteVery Jealous! ...and it does look like you are enjoying it for sure : )

Fun!!
ReplyDeleteGetting a new camera is always a lot of fun, but takes some getting used to at the same time. I'm always impatient too and just want to "use" it and not "learn" first!!
Happy Tuesday!
Great camera ! I've been trying to convince my hubby that I really, really need a better camera but he knows as well as I do that I don't NEED one I just WANT one. LOL, I'm quite a bit like you with wanting to be able to do something now, instantly and not have to muddle through directions or a tome of a manual. The next camera I get I will defiantly see if I can take a course on how to operate it. :)
ReplyDeleteI only own the camera on my cell phone. :( I need to save up!
ReplyDeleteI adore mine :) I love that you used your awesome shots to make a new banner. LOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteim still using a point and shoot
ReplyDelete{go ahead, make fun}
would you recommend this as great beginner camera?
im thinking of getting one this summer. my point and shoot has seen its days, she needs to retire.
Congrats on the new camera! I dream of getting a better one at some point but I do kinda dread that learning process!
ReplyDeleteBravo to you for your persistence! Camera learning is daunting for me because, honestly, it is not something I was ever interested in. Now I am in the situation where I NEED the end-result for my blog and for Etsy so I really have to be disiplined with myself to learn the f-stop white balance photo mojo.
ReplyDeleteAnnette, I am so happy for your upgrade! Now, with the new camera you will head straight on to new horizons! Don't be intimidated by it, just don't start off with all manual settings. I suggest at first shooting at P. I am there, if you need any help, just ask anything :)
ReplyDeletelove the camera! i want a new one sooo bad! JEALOUS!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteCool camera indeed!!
ReplyDeleteNow let's see some fabulous photos ;->

That's a great camera! I love Canons. Playing around with new cameras is so much fun, but I agree that it's tough to find the patience when you need something done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog! :)
xo,

OOOOh, don't you just love your Rebel? That's the same one that I bought and now have three books for it sitting around. I've actually learned a lot, but am still thrilled with the results I get from just the "regular" settings; the macro one is obviously the best. :)
ReplyDeleteTake care!
