It's Official! ~ Blogtoberfest Day 21

My Etsy shop, So Many Memories, is officially open for business!  After closing up shop last April, I've been thinking and rethinking what I want to do.  I don't agree with all the decisions Etsy makes and I especially don't agree with how they announce (or don't announce) the decisions.  But I enjoy what I do and and I especially like being a part of the Etsy community.  I've met some incredibly talented people and been inspired in ways I never dreamed of.

I've begun listing items, and working on new ideas, and obsessing over views, and all that goes with having an online business!  My expectations are more realistic this time around and I'll work hard to keep it that way.

Have you had to rethink a decision or change your expectations?  I would like to hear about it.  We can learn a lot from each other!

Have a fabulous Friday!

  4. Congrats on the re-open! I think life is constantly about managing expectations, not that we shouldn't strive for everything we want in life, but sometimes it takes longer than we'd like or we have to take a circuitous route to get there. Happy Friday! xo, Mary

  5. Congratulations on reopening the shop!! And best of luck! I love that apron you did for Patty - it worked so well, with those awesome hidden pockets :)

I'm always reconsidering decisions I've made, and managing my expectations. I think it comes part and parcel with trying to do what we do, both creatively and business-wise.

  7. You've made a lot of luscious items for your re-opening.

Yes etsy certainly has initiated a lot of changes, wish they could have waited until after the holidays instead of doing them right as the beginning of the buying season. Not exactly the most clever thing for them to do. But then I guess it proves that those in charge at etsy are all too human, just like the rest of us. :)
